About Milver
Milver was established in 1982 and from its inception has continued to focus on advanced aluminium recycling. Milver was acquired by the AMC Group in 2000 and has grown substantially to become the UK’s largest provider of primary and secondary aluminium. In 2015 the Milver site welcomed the addition of Brookside Metals and as such increased its ability by complementing the aluminium production with a foundry specialising in the production of copper based secondary production as well as the manufacture of copper based master alloys.
Milver comprises various complementary activities – aluminium waste recycling, copper waste recycling and metrology. The site holds various accreditations including ISO 9000 – ISO 140001.
Milver supports the automotive, oil, gas and energy industries by providing products that meet and surpass stringent safety critical specifications and applications. Our commitment to advancing the recycling of aluminium and copper is defined by our relentless search for alternative supply streams and, as such, Milver offers a product base that provides not only a commercially viable product in both aluminium and copper based secondary based material, but also ensures the sustainability of the planets resources by reducing the demand for virgin materials.

Sustainability
Milver is actively engaged into the sustainability of the planet by offering innovative manufacturing techniques to reclaim and recycle aluminium and copper. The AMC Group and Milver are committed to discovering new recycling streams and innovative technologies to recover these valuable resources.
Responsibility
We are committed to providing a proactive setting in which we recognise our impact on the environment to best protect our employees, neighbours and the world. We serve on the Board of Directors of the Aluminium Federation which ensures that we're actively engaged on a political level in supporting the recycling of aluminium.
Integrity
As an integral part of the AMC Group, we are fully committed to ensuring we operate within our core values of reliability, integrity and professionalism with all our customers, suppliers and employees. Our working environment proactively promotes health, safety and environmental awareness.
Community
Milver is dedicated to supporting its local community by engaging with the local schools and academies through an outreach program. We support local and national based Apprenticeship Programs and actively participate in underlining the importance of recycling the earth’s natural resources.

Environment & Community
Benefitting the environment through responsible and sustainable recycling of aluminium and copper is the essence of Milver’s operation. Our commitment to this is demonstrated by our ISO 14001 accreditation.
Recycling aluminium scrap back into new ingot uses 95% less energy than is required to produce the same weight of primary aluminium from bauxite. Recycling therefore saves raw materials and energy, reduces emissions, the production of greenhouse gasses and the demand on landfill sites.

Around 95% of all materials currently used in our own processes are recycled products or waste from other processes. We work closely with other companies from a wide variety of industries to take any recyclable waste that is useable in our process. We widely participate in waste synergy programmes and encourage closed loop recycling of waste streams. In addition, we are a registered waste carrier and have our own fleet of vehicles to facilitate the removal of waste from your premises and can provide our own sealed bins or roll on roll off containers for your onsite storage.
Our manufacturing process falls under the Integrated Pollution Control regulations and so we operate under the conditions of a site permit as well as the requirements of the ISO management standard. Our compliance is closely monitored by the Environment Agency with whom we enjoy a close working relationship.
